Where Do You Get Your Information?

Your Thoughts

The economic crisis has shown a spotlight on the value and importance of accurate, unbiased news and information. Meanwhile the news landscape is undergoing serious change; daily papers are reducing staff and cutting back on coverage, even as news and information vehicles on the internet continue to expand in new and powerful ways.

For example, The President held an electronic town hall meeting from the Whitehouse. Mr. Obama answered questions sent over the internet – some posed via YouTube.

The Aspen Institute, at the request of the Knight Foundation, has convened a commission to determine the information needs of communities in a democracy.

KTEH, The Knight Foundation and PBS would like to hear your opinion on this subject.

Do you think you have access to the kind of information you need to be an engaged citizen?

Where do you find your information? Newspapers? Online? Radio? Television?

I have been a loyal fan of your British programming. However, we were dismayed to find that Doc Martin has been dropped from the program. Please tell us why? It would be so helpful if series were showed in sequence and if they are to end, it would be most courteous to state that fact. One looks forward to, for instance, the regular Monday night programming. Then, abruptly, there is a deletion, and one is left hanging. Please let us know what has happened to the series.

Thanks for writing to us about Doc Martin. It’s great to know you enjoy it. Sorry you were caught off guard when the series ended.

Although it may not seem like it, the episodes were shown in the correct order and I believe we aired an announcement around the show saying it was the last in the series.

There is good news, though. We have learned that a 4th season is in production. It probably won’t be made available in the US until early 2010 but Doc martin will return.

    Thanks for your feedback,

I am chagrined to find “One Foot in the Grave” not listed in the
Brilliantly British category. It’s one of our favorites. How many
episodes do you plan to carry? I believe there are at least six volumes available for sale. I am also eagerly awaiting the return of “Doc Martin”.
Perhaps it goes without saying that KTEH is our favorite TV station. ?!
