Station News

Pardon our dust!   I just received a status report from our crew at Monument Peak.   They have found some defective parts in the transmission line feed the antenna.  Parts have been ordered and repairs will be made tomorrow morning (Friday, May 1st).  The transmitter will need to shut down from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. while repairs are made.  These repairs should greatly enhance the performance of the KTEH antenna system. Check back here for updates.

Did I hear correctly that you are dropping The Lawrence Welk Show? (It is one of our favorites and we would miss it greatly.)

    Bob,
Yes, after many, many years Lawrence Welk will be conducting his final polka at KTEH… well almost. We will still have Welk specials from time to time.

The Lawrence Welk show is still a very expensive property and its ratings have slipped to half of what they used to be. This is a sign to us that much of his audience is ready for a break.

We know some viewers, like you, will be disappointed with this change in programming but it will allow us to get “new” episodes of Poirot, Sherlock, Larkrise, Midsommer Murders and Doc Martin – all big favorites with KTEH viewers.

We hope you'll enjoy our new offerings and Keep your eye out for the Lawrence Welk specials.
