The Promos are on the air, featuring the creative imaginings of six would-be Time Lords — each vying for the chance to host their very own Doctor Who Marathon on KTEH-TV. Time to seek an answer to the the burning question:

Great to see this finally up! Can't wait to see the promos online too. BTW, Why has Adam's Season 12 of the Doctor been removed from exhibition only since yesterday?

Glad you're excited! Adam's Season 12 has been unpublished because he changed the name of his video to "KTEH Sucks!" which isn't quite in the spirit of the project.
(I was sad to see it go because I thought it was a good video. I told him to contact me if he's interested in having it republished.)

I've been spreading the link too. Trying to get the word out! Too bad about Adam's video but I understand then. He tweaked it later on- since it's exhibition only you should ask if he'd rather publish that version. "Good version of Season 12 of Doctor Who"

Eternity Burns can't be voted on because the rules state that the entrant must live in the CA area (USA) and David unfortunately lives in the UK. So basically that defaulted him to exhibition only category. The Doctor's Destiny and Season 12(when it was up) both ran over 2 minutes (tha max length allowed) which also disqualified them from being voted on.

re: Eternity Burns. Well, that is a shame. KTEH should be going for a worldwide audience, reaching out to all countries, nations and creeds. If the best is the best then the best is the best. FR

Well to be fair, KTEH did the contest as a way to drum up local support/ local fan interest in the show and by association, their TV station. Worldwide interest certainly is nice, but it's merely icing on the cake. Also they don't provide transport for the winner to come to the station and do the marathon hosting- so it makes sense again to limit the competitors to locals only.

I take your point. BUT any fan who can make a brilliant short, like Eternity Burns, could, in my opinion, easily recorded those links for the marathon and mail them over to the good people at KTEH. FR

Hey FrankRavine, thanks for your kind comments about Eternity Burns, its nice knowing there are nice comments out there about it, albiet its overt shortness and least relevance to what the outstanding other entries have for this competition. She was wondering how long the voting was going for. Which is a very good question.

Chances are that KTEH had no choice regarding having it open to California residents only as there are many laws in play when you run contests. For instance, if they'd wanted it to be a nation wide contest they'd have to pay bonds to many of the states in order to have it open to all residents and the cost is prohibitive. My guess is that many countries also have these laws on the books. I'm sure they don't mean to be exclusionary.

I've had people tell me they tried to vote for my video but the vote count didn't seem to go up. So announcement or no, it seems voting has closed.

I remember hearing that voting may not end after three weeks but might extend til either 6/19 or 7/10 to allow a lengthy exposure of the 3 promos on the air. But a confirmation would be nice. Also all three promos must have aired by now- when will these go up so those of us outside the KTEH broadcast/cable reach can see them?
