KTEH let Doctor Who fans take control of the studio for three nights of amazing costumes, fabulous props and deadly menaces. The top vote-getters of KTEH's "How Who Are You?" video competition were Bob Mitsch, Aubrey West and Van Donovan.
In the first segment, they introduce themselves and play their winning video: "45 Years and Beyond." Filmed at the Gallifrey One convention in Los Angeles, the video features sonic screwdrivers, trusty umbrellas, psychic paper and… ten, count 'em, TEN DOCTORS!
In the second segment, the Doctors discuss the history of the sonic screwdriver and show us replicas of every design that was used in the classic series, TV movie and new series of Doctor Who.
In the next video, the Doctors defend KTEH from cyber-conversion!
We have our winner! Congratulations to the Honorary Doctor, Bob Mitsch with his "Doctor Who: 45 Years and Beyond." Kudos also to our runners up!
I'll get in touch with our winners and then be back here with more information about when our marathon will be taping, and more importantly when it will be airing. I'm VERY EXCITED that we'll be producing something with the winning team (hope you hung onto those set pieces!) to show on KTEH.
In the meantime, I'll be posting the promos here. Just to add a little drama, I'll post one each day — today, Thursday and Friday. So you'll have to remember to check back, heh.
We'll start with the promo that features the winning fan film. Enjoy!
The Promos are on the air, featuring the creative imaginings of six would-be Time Lords — each vying for the chance to host their very own Doctor Who Marathon on KTEH-TV. Time to seek an answer to the the burning question:
WHO is MOST Who?
